What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Breakfast. I wake up hungry.

Why Journeyman?
I think the world of video production and content is so engaging, and it allows you to connect with people which is something I’m passionate about. I’ve always felt like a creative person but not in a traditional way. Working here and collaborating on ideas and concepts with the team allows me to exercise my kind of creativity, which is fun and also challenging.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I've had 100 different ideas over the years. I think originally it was a dentist, at one point it was a social worker, and there was a long period of time where I wanted to work in the music industry.

How do you find rejuvenation and balance?
By taking time to unplug and relax, and by making sure I'm getting exercise and enough sleep. Also, being outdoors is calming to me. Living in Nova Scotia, I can find myself in a beautiful park or by the ocean without having to go too far.

What would you be doing if you didn't work in video production?
I would probably be event planning. That's what I did before I found myself in the marketing/content world, and I still continue to do a bit of event work on the side.

What are some of your favourite travel experiences?
I’ve been lucky to take several trips to California. I went to Coachella a few years in a row and took a couple of amazing road trips down the coast. I’m a huge music fan and some of my most treasured memories are from my times at the festival. My family and I recently spent some time on the cliffs of Negril, Jamaica, and they were the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.
